Another picture from Greece. I was only in Naxos for a day or two but my lasting impressions will be the time lazing on the beach, and a great little restaurant called the Picasso Mexican Bistro which did amazing burritos.

'Lasithi Plateau, Crete, 2005'. On a trip to Crete I travelled up into the hills to a place called the Lasithi Plateau, nestled up in the mountains, with beautiful views of a patchwork of fields and old windmills made of cloth. This image was taken from a drawing made over a lunch of skewered lamb at a local cafe. This called called 'The Caldera, Santorini', from 2005. It will be in art commentator Warwick Brown's new book out soon called 'Seen this Century' by Random Century. |
